Jonathan Sobel, Owner of Eco Environmental Consultants, LLC
Jon started his career working for Environmental Connection, Inc. an environmental consulting firm based in Trenton, New Jersey while attaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rider University. There he performed assessments and project monitoring for asbestos, lead and mold for both commercial and institutional establishments.
Upon graduation Jon went to work for an environment testing laboratory for several years as an Asbestos, Materials and Industrial Hygiene (I.H.) Analyst. While there, he gained experience identifying various types of asbestos containing materials. As an I.H. Analyst, he worked in analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). As a Materials Analyst he gained valuable knowledge using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), IR spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) to analyze materials for residential, commercial and institutional type businesses. Jon has become very skilled in the area of data interpretation and operating various instruments while working in analytical laboratory.
Jon is a member of the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO), The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), and Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA).
Jon recently completed advance training in Mold, Bacteria, Allergens, Health Effects and Risk Communication Certification sponsored by the Center for Environmental Training (CET).
